Headway Environmental has established a western U.S. presence based in Reno, Nevada.
An outstanding group of senior professionals have joined Headway, forming the foundation of its new western office.
“This was a rare opportunity where talent, timing, and strategy aligned,” said Kenny Carothers, President of Headway.

Ben Klink will serve as Headway’s Southwest Office Principal, leading western operations with a focus on organizational effectiveness, collaboration, and strategic growth. He brings more than 16 years of experience in natural resource management, spanning senior roles in private consulting and state government. His professional focus includes NEPA compliance, environmental permitting, biological programs, and multidisciplinary project delivery across the energy, mining, renewables, infrastructure, and land management sectors. Klink has managed complex projects for a diverse range of clients, including state and federal agencies, and supports cross-disciplinary teams to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery.
Meaghan Davis joins Headway as a Senior Botanist and Project Manager, bringing extensive experience across the Great Basin and western U.S. Her professional focus includes sensitive plant surveys, vegetation and reclamation monitoring, ESA and state-listed species compliance, and GIS-supported data analysis and reporting. Davis has supported and managed complex, multi-phase projects for a range of clients, including federal and state agencies, and is known for delivering high-quality technical work that supports effective regulatory compliance and project decision-making.


Dr. Tessa Behnke joins Headway as a Senior Wildlife Biologist and Project Manager, bringing nationally recognized expertise in sage-grouse ecology, wildlife permitting, and NEPA support. Her professional background includes leading biological assessments, supporting complex regulatory processes, and producing high-level technical authorship for state and federal projects. Dr. Behnke brings strong agency relationships and a robust research and publication record that strengthens Headway’s scientific rigor and regulatory effectiveness across the western U.S.
Together, this team brings exceptional technical skillsets. This expansion aligns directly with Headway’s long-term vision of building a national practice rooted in strong regional leadership, deep technical credibility, and collaborative teams that know their landscapes, agencies, and communities.
